General French Courses more details

19 Hours of French classes per week from Monday to Friday (9.15am to 12.15pm and 2 evenings from 5pm to 7pm). No classes on Saturday and Sunday.

Beginner, intermediate and advanced French courses. All levels catered for.

Professional, native French-speaking instructors.

Study formal and informal French with an emphasis on conversational skills.

To cater for the needs of complete beginners, we have set aside particular dates each month for you to start your course. If your partner is not a complete beginner, he or she can start the course on the same date as you.

We consider you a complete beginner if your result on our French Test is 7 or less. Please avoid guessing answers when you do the test as we need an accurate idea of your level.

Intensive French Courses more details

Designed for people who have an urgent need to communicate rapidly and effectively in French.

This course offers 19 hours a week of group classes taken with students in the General French Course (6 maximum per class) plus 6 hours a week of private one-to-one classes for a total of 25 hours. During the 6 hours of private classes you and your teacher will decide the content of the class.

Your teacher will help you overcome your particular difficulties and look and vocabulary or grammar points that concern you.

Private French Courses more details

15, 19 or 25 hours of private, one-to-one classes, the Private Course is an effective, rapid means of developing your language skills.

Entirely planned around your particular needs, it is ideal for those who have a professional need for French or are moving to France.

Holiday French Courses

15 hours of classes per week for five morning classes from Monday to Friday, this course is ideal for those wishing to learn French while wanting to have as much time as possible to relax, enjoy their holiday and visit the lovely villages nearby.

Active speaking practice is sought at all levels of ability to give self-confidence in conversational skills. You are rapidly encouraged to try and speak in real-life situations. All our teachers are Native French instructors who can explain grammar and vocabulary to beginners in English when this is necessary. Intermediate and advanced students speak only in French.

Because of its importance, emphasis is given to pronunciation during lessons. You speak French all day long and then continue to speak French over a good meal and wine. The French-only rule at the dinner-table for French-studying guests accelerates understanding by total immersion in the language. What better way to learn to speak French than at a French table ? For those taking the Cuisine course in English and for complete French beginners, we have set aside a place at table for them to feel free to talk in their own language.
